thank you, all of you that responded to my last post with your generous words, open feelings, and warm hearts. I am overwhelmed, in a good way. That would be my word for now, overwhelmed... by your greatness, with this life given to me, with so much on my mind, and by so much yet to do. Your words touched me and for that I thank you...I want to invite all of you into my house for a tea party or perhaps happy hour...shall we vote? wouldn't that be lovely, all of us, together in one place. Yes, it would!
I must confess, I have been a nervous wreck this week...trying to accomplish everything on my list of lists. I keep trying to talk myself out of being nervous...my thoughts have been at constant battle and the nice calm collected me is tiring of fighting. If I could just shut the what ifs off, if I only could, not likely. There is something in being nervous that is exciting, it shows me how much this means to me, and how I want to be at my best. In-between this nervousness, I am ecstatic that in less than two weeks I will be on my way.
Where I will be spending a whole week with this lovely soul! I can hardly wait to be there again, to be surrounded by so many beautiful people! Excitement stirs within!
.......Yesterday was a gift, spring came by for the day. It was WONDERFUL! So very wonderful! People outside every where, thawing out. We even made it to the beach for an hour and came home to a huge helping of fresh mud soup, my little guy spent all morning working on it diligently, it was indeed the best mud soup I have had in so long! (and yes, if you can tell, his boots are on the wrong feet and that is how he likes them...sigh)
And since it is that time again, here is my contribution for this week's spc...for this sp I used the Hockney tool from flickr. Have fun exploring more sp here.
Misty I am so excited for you....anyone that meets you for the first time will instantly be taken by your lovely spirit not to mention the thrill of taking one of your classes. You'll be GREAT!
XO

Thanks for stopping by. I check your blog daily. It is a sweet addiction. Spring has sprung here also. We spent 2 hours at the beach with our puppy, collecting fossils and clam shells. I loved the words about your son. Mine is 7 and insists on wearing his shirts inside out (the tag hanging right out by his chin). I had to explain to everyone we saw today that, yes, i know his shirt is inside out and yes, he likes it that way and No, it doesnt bother me. He is an artistic soul already. Cherish the individuality in your kids as you do yourself. Lovely post Misty.

How wonderful that your little one is allowed to choose to wear his shoes on the "wrong" feet. He'll be so thankful that you gave him the opportunity to make his own choices.

Nice contribution for spc this week. I'm a bundle of what if's, I'm sure the words are imprinted on my body, just below my skin surface. Your week out west will be amazing, of this I am certain. xo

Oh Misty what absolutely divine new work, both this and the one above.
What an absolute joy it would be to sit in dappled sunlight and share a pot of tea with you. To chat, to contemplate and be.
I know that you will be an absolute hit at Artfest! Take time to enjoy yourself too.

friends. creating. inspiring. No - i'd much rather stay here. I'm going to have my own artfest .on my kitchen table. It'll be great.

Your SPC turned out wonderfully! I'm really liking the portraits I've seen Hockneyized without the polaroid frames. They look very painterly.

You can't imagine how terrible my day has been here in Marrakesh. In fact so awful that at one point I felt jinxed and started to cry because I was just waiting for something else awful to happen to me. What a pleasure to come upon your blog and to see your beautiful work. It eases the anguish some how. Thank you.
