inner piece?
This weekend is the opening for my show at the Barn Swallow Gallery. If you are in the area please do stop in. I will be there this Saturday, from 1-3ish. Here is one of my favorite pieces for the gallery. Saturday is the first day of the month, reason alone to celebrate, plus a gallery opening, and four tickets to Cirque Du Soleil... March is looking good!
"The way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what you start. So far today, I have finished 2 bags of M&M's and a chocolate cake. I feel better already." ~ David Barry
and... I also finished the scarf I was working on. well, almost, still a few strings to weave in here, there. Oh, it feels good to finish something...now, where did I put my list of mustdos?!
Thank you so much for your comments on my journal pages, they are all class samples for the class I am teaching at Asilomar...which will be here very soon, right after Artfest.

Hope to be there!!

I wish I could be there for your gallery opening. It will be wonderful, I'm sure.
I'm going to Cirque for the first time next week. I can't wait!
...and...we've almost made it through the winter....
So many reasons to celebrate!

That is a beautiful painting. It evokes so much emotion. I love the cake, its my birthday today so can I have a piece? I always laugh at that m@m quote, its always so funny. The scarf looks nice, its great when you can finish something like that. I have a red lace scarf I have been working on for ages or maybe I should say I started it ages ago. Good luck with your show.

That piece is pretty gorgeous Mrs. M. Congrats on the scarf, those are hard for me to finish myself. The cake? They are going to love it!
Good luck at your show!

We took our two kidlings (7 and 10) to Cirque here in San Jose... We had matinee seats, center front, 4 rows from the stage, on the aisle...very lucky! Breathtaking and beautifully magical...They are still talking about it!

the tree in the beautiful painting reminds me a bit of the pussy willow pieces i've been wiring together - i love thinking that you and i inspire each other as we do. i've thought of you all day today, as always -
wish, wish, wish i could be there for the show. i will be in spirit, you know that.
i also wish you could come over tonight and we could laugh and watch in treatment together with some smoky red wine and dark chocolate. xo

In 2006 I saw a Cirque show for the first time in Cincinnati. I had always said if they ever came to town, I was buying the best seats front and center and I did. It was the number one best splurge I ever did. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

the painting is breath-takingly beautiful - i so wish i could be at your show and see all the pieces up close. i'm always amazed at the magic and mystery you still up using such a limited pallet. i WANT to learn how to do that too!!
and i can imagine the moist sweetness of the delectable chocolate cake...yummmmm.
i have yet to see a cirque show - i hope the 4 of you have a delightful time.
